    We are looking for a fun and engaging Activities Coordinator to join our team on a full-time basis (40 hours) to create new and exciting activities for our residents to participate in, offering plenty of variety and choice for 1:1 and group activities.     Experience of working in the care sector is preferred although candidates with no experience but the right attitude will also be considered.

As Head Chef, you will take responsibility for organising and controlling the efficient and economic production of quality food within the allowed budget, day to day kitchen management, whilst maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

    Skills, Knowledge & Qualifications

    Required

    • City & Guilds 706 – 1 & 2, or equivalent qualification (achieved or working towards)
    • Team player
    • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
    • Good communication skills
    • Ability to work on own initiative

    Desired

    • Previous management or supervisory experience
    • Experience in food preparation for the relevant Service User group
    • Experience working in a care environment would be advantageous but not a deal-breaker

Regulations will also apply to new staff recruited by the registered provider. It is important that only new team members who have had a full course of an MHRA approved COVID-19 vaccination or are medically exempt from the requirement are eligible to work in the care home. It is only possible for newly appointed team members to start working in the care home once they have provided evidence of their vaccination status or a medical exemption.

The Hazelwell Care Home is located within the blissful town of Heswall, Merseyside, where locals can enjoy scenic views of the River Dee. The home consists of 55 modern en-suite bedrooms and a fantastic range of facilities. Nursing, Dementia, Residential, and Respite Care are the main all-inclusive services provided by the Hazelwell Care Home in a luxury and safe environment. We take pride in providing as much assistance as is required to ensure that each of our residents live a full and meaningful life.
