Books on Bookshelf

Library

Our peaceful and comfortable library has always been one of the most popular areas of our home. Enjoyed by both residents and loved ones, our library is the perfect place to enjoy a favourite book or get lost in a new one. We actively encourage all residents to make the most of the library space available to them, to enjoy the many benefits it brings; from the pure enjoyment of a really well written book, to reducing stress and enhancing sleep through to even improving memory circuits.

Reading independently or as part of a group encourages residents to use their imagination as well as providing points for discussion for fellow residents and even family members to enjoy together.

Get Lost in Literature

Our library hosts plenty of seats and comfortable designated reading areas here at The Hazelwell Care Home, so if residents prefer somewhere quiet and tranquil to get lost in literature our library is the perfect place.

With opportunities to get lost in a book or discuss the most recent page turner in a book club, our comfortable library really is a great way to spend an hour, an afternoon or even a day.  More than just a reading group, book clubs provide our residents the opportunity to socialise, make friends, enjoy discussions, discourage loneliness and much, much more.
