What’s included in the fees at The Hazelwell?
When staying with us at The Hazelwell Care Home, we want to make sure residents have access to absolutely everything they need as well as receiving the care that’s right for them. We believe our residents deserve high-quality care and the opportunities to live life to the full, which is what we go above and beyond to deliver. Staying at The Hazelwell Care Home means access to most of our everyday services and facilities, like accommodation, food, drink and activities are covered by your fee. Our residents also benefit from additional medical services that are also included within your fee.

Our COVID-19 Approach
In line with recent Government recommendations effective from April 2022, care homes in England no longer have restrictions as to the numbers of visits per resident though we ask that you make arrangements in advance of your visit to ensure safe visiting practices can be maintained. LFT testing is no longer mandatory, though to protect the safety and wellbeing of our residents and teams, we would appreciate your support in continuing to do so. Appropriate guidance for using PPE must be followed whilst visiting.

Residential Care is a perfect option for those who are largely capable of living independently, but would prefer to have the help and assistance of our team every now and then. It is also a great solution for those who wish to reap the social benefits of group living, as elements such as dining and activities can be taken with other residents.
The Hazelwell offers a real home away from home environment, offering residents the perfect mix of relaxation and comfort, as well as opportunities to continue doing the activities and daily tasks they love. Our approach to Residential Care, as well as our other care types, is fully holistic; meaning we tend to our residents physical, mental and emotional need too.
Our teams at The Hazelwell Care Home are specially trained to provide all-inclusive expert support and professional care to those living with dementia. Our wellbeing coordinators have worked hard to ensure our home is a safe and comforting environment, and so that our residents with dementia can continue to live life the way they want to without any stresses. Our employees receive ongoing dementia training, so that no matter what, you can rest assured you’re receiving the best and most up to date care for you.
To combat the frustrations that are often associated with dementia, we have made sure that our home remains equipped with specialist equipment and that activities are thoughtfully planned. We go to great lengths to get a thorough understanding of our residents by communicating with them and their loved ones in order to create a true representation of their lives – helping us to ensure their continued happiness and safety.
When you’re a resident at The Hazelwell Care Home, you will have access to all-inclusive Nursing Care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. No matter how much or little support you need in your day-to-day life, our wellbeing coordinators are on hand to offer you the exact amount of help you need, day or night. Our nursing staff are highly-trained and specialise in caring for those with physical limitations and higher dependency needs, as well as those who require palliative care.
We adopt a Key Nursing approach whereby each resident is assigned their very own nurse who will become a friendly and familiar face to you and will help you and your loved ones with any questions or concerns you have. In circumstances where your key nurse isn’t available, another member of our professional team will be more than delighted to care for your needs.
Despite offering all residents permanent, all-inclusive around-the-clock care, our wellbeing coordinators understand that some residents may only need support for short periods of time. We are pleased to be able to cater to these residents too, as we offer Respite Care (a minimum length of stay applies) and Day Care services. Respite and Day Care services are ideal for people who may be in recovery from a stint in hospital as a result of injury or illness. They are also helpful for carers who may need to take some time for themselves every now and then.
It’s understandable to be concerned about change, even if it is for a short time. We want to assure both potential residents and carers that when staying with us at The Hazelwell Care Home, you will be welcomed into a peaceful, relaxing home, where your health, wellbeing, spiritual and wellbeing needs will all be met.
