Celebrating International Nurses Day – 12th May

International Nurses Day is an international day observed around the world on the 12th May each year.

The day also marks the anniversary of Florence Nightingale’s birth which is made even more poignant during this crisis. International Nurses Day celebrates the contribution that nurses make to society which has been highlighted more than ever during this pandemic.

The Hazelwell marked the occasion by presenting all of the nurses within the home with a gift bag full of goodies and displaying a light in the windows of the care home.
