CQC Inspection Success

The team at The Hazelwell Care Home in Heswall, Merseyside recently received an unannounced inspection by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), a regulatory body that ensures Health and Social Care services across England are operating to a high standard.

The comprehensive inspections carried out by CQC makes sure services are providing care that is Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive, and Well-led. We are very proud and delighted to share that we have been awarded an overall 'Good' rating for our service to the care sector.

To receive a 'Good' overall grade truly is a testament to our management and team who pride themselves on providing the very best in person-centred care.

Simon Paul, the Home Manager commented:

"I joined the care home in late 2022 and was instantly impressed with the team who are some of the most dedicated and committed people that I have had the pleasure of working with in this sector. It is through our collective teamwork that we strive to provide the very best in person-centred care for each of our residents and to make sure that every day they have the very best quality of life. The team are so engaging and genuinely care dearly for the residents and I am so delighted that their efforts have been recognised on our recent inspection."

Simon went on to further comment:

"The Hazelwell really is like an extended family, the home is really friendly and offers an engaging environment where there is always lots going on, everyone goes out of their way to get to know the preferences of each of the residents to ensure that they feel supported as well as having companionship and the very best in care around-the-clock. As the world has opened up post Covid-19, it’s been great to be back fully integrated within the local community, enabling our residents to enjoy more of the things that they love and enjoy."

The Hazelwell Care Home is a luxury all-inclusive care home located in Heswall, on the Wirral, and provides Residential Care, Nursing Care, Dementia Care, Respite Care, and a variety of other specialist care services for up to 55 residents.

Residents can also enjoy a wide range of in-house facilities and amenities such as beautifully designed bedrooms, dining rooms and communal areas, a library, a rooftop salon, and much more. The team at The Hazelwell Care Home is dedicated to providing residents with a home-from-home environment, where they can socialise, continue with hobbies, and pursue new interests, all whilst receiving the care and support that they need.
