Love and laughter filled The Hazelwell as residents came together to celebrate Valentine’s Day with a heartwarming meal that made everyone feel special. Whether married or single, our residents were treated to an afternoon of warmth, companionship, and a delicious Valentine’s menu created especially for the occasion.

Our married couples enjoyed a beautifully set table for two, complete with candlelight and a menu designed to bring a touch of romance to the day. The celebration for the rest of our residents was just as meaningful, as they shared the occasion with friends and staff who made sure to spread the love. Valentine's at The Hazelwell isn’t just about romance—it’s about friendship, kindness, and making everyone feel valued.

Among the couples celebrating were Jim and Mo, who have been married for an incredible 67 years and have lived at The Hazelwell together for the past two years. When asked about the secret to a happy marriage, Mo smiled and said, “It’s important to look after your husband.” Jim, with a twinkle in his eye, added, “Always do as you’re told!” Their love and companionship were a wonderful reminder of the strength of lifelong partnerships.

Beyond the delicious food and thoughtful touches, the event was a chance for residents to reminisce about love stories from the past, share laughter with friends, and enjoy a real sense of togetherness.
