Our Ladies Gardening Club

Residents Gardening

As the warmer months approach us, our residents have been enjoying spending time in our gardens and outdoor areas, which has been made even more pleasant thanks to our ladies' gardening club.

The gardening club at Hazelwell meets up weekly to undertake tasks in the garden and this week's task was to pot plants for the first-floor nursing community balcony. The club is made up of residents and some of our green-thumbed staff even get involved sometimes too!

The plants have made a real difference to the space, and residents can now watch the plants grow as they soak up the amazing views from the balcony.

After all their hard work, the ladies like to sit around and enjoy a well-deserved cup of tea to recharge their batteries.

Two things that are really important to us at Hazelwell are that our residents have an environment where they want to spend time and socialise with others and that they have the opportunity to continue their hobbies and pursue new interests.

Our ladies love gardening and we are delighted to be able to ensure they continue doing the things they love. We also value the physical and mental benefits that gardening brings our residents, and encourage everyone to give it a go if they want to.

Thank you again to our ladies' gardening club for the wonderful work they do for our home.
