The Dining Experience at Hazelwell Care Home

Hazelwell Care Home has recently undergone a transformation in the main dining room to improve our resident's dining experience and we are over the moon with the results. We thought it was only appropriate that we show it off in all its glory.

Our dining room has been beautifully decorated with a contemporary feel, consisting of neutral tones with lots of space between the tables whilst maintaining a social setting. The pink roses in the middle of the table provide a lovely focal point and a pop of colour in the room.

The room consists of cosy lighting as well lots of natural light from the surrounding windows. There is a fantastic outlook onto the outdoor patio adjacent to the dining room, and the french doors can be opened during the warmer months. When the weather improves, residents are able to enjoy a snack and drink or dine al fresco on the patio outside if they prefer a change of scenery.

The dining chairs feature a subtle design and armrests for maximum comfort. A flat-screen television has also been mounted to the wall for residents to communally sit and watch a programme or listen to music during their mealtimes.

The menu has also been revamped for the spring season, with a variety of lighter meals on offer. Our residents really enjoy the dining experience here at Hazelwell, meeting their friends for pre-drinks, where they can choose from a range of delectable alcoholic beverages. Social events also take place here. The piano can be heard playing during the dinner service which exudes a calming ambience and residents are thoroughly able to dine in style.
