You Said, We Did: Improving Resident Experience at The Hazelwell Care Home

At The Hazelwell, we are always striving to improve the experience of our residents, their families, and our staff. This month, we took the opportunity to review the suggestions left in our feedback box at reception. We believe that by listening to our community, we can create a better environment for everyone, and we are proud to have put several of these ideas into action.

Our suggestion box is a vital tool for gathering feedback, and it often contains kind words of praise for our staff as well as valuable suggestions for improvement. This month, two brilliant ideas stood out, both of which we were delighted to implement.

Firstly, to help during the rainy weather, we now have bright umbrellas available at reception for visitors and staff to borrow as they make their way to and from the car park. It’s a simple touch that makes a big difference, ensuring everyone stays dry and comfortable, even in typical British weather!

Secondly, we took on a wonderful suggestion to brighten up our garden for the coming spring. Residents, together with their relatives, have had the joy of planting over 100 daffodil bulbs around our communal gardens. Gardening is always a popular activity for our residents, and the daffodils will bring a vibrant, colourful display for everyone to enjoy when they bloom next spring.

At The Hazelwell Care Home, we’re dedicated to continually improving our services, and we encourage everybody to keep sharing their thoughts and ideas. Together, we can ensure that our luxury home remains a warm, welcoming, and enriching place for everyone.

If you would like to find out more about life at The Hazelwell, or if you have any suggestions to share, please don’t hesitate to speak to our friendly team or drop a note into the suggestion box at reception.
