Day-to-Day Life at our Nursing Home in Merseyside
With the centre of Liverpool less than half an hour from our home and a range of coast and countryside surrounding us, there is plenty for residents at The Hazelwell to fill their days with. Our activities coordinators take every step to create a varied and stimulating programme full of opportunities and experiences both inside our home and in the Merseyside area.
Our home is situated in an ideal location for nature lovers. Around an hour away from our home and one of Merseyside’s most popular attractions in Southport Marine Lake. Here, residents and their relatives of all ages can enjoy a family day out with the option of taking a boat ride, admiring the wildlife, or even grabbing some lunch at the café or pub. Plenty more wildlife can be admired closer to home, with West Kirby Beach and Vale Park both under 30 minutes drive from The Hazelwell.
There are many other attractions in the local area waiting to be discovered too, including Royal Albert Dock in Liverpool which is great for a visit to the Tate Gallery followed by a meal in one of the many eateries. Liverpool Cathedral is a beautiful location that is well worth a visit.
Whether our residents wish to have afternoon tea with friends, a day out at the beach with their children and grandchildren, or even just a moment’s peace on their own in our in-house library, there is an abundance of opportunities for older people in Merseyside.
